The performance 'Anna in the Mirror' is an interdisciplinary artistic event inspired by a photographic and poetry series entitled 'Anna in the Mirror' created by Anna Makselon Paton.

The series tells a story of the doubts, struggles, strength, and hope of a woman facing breast cancer.

The project does not focus on the medical aspects of the disease, but rather offers a profound exploration of the mind and heart of a woman fighting for her life.

Inspired by this story, Iga Kwintkiewicz, who directs and choreographs the performance, translates the literary and visual world of the forthcoming art book into the language of the stage.

The performance features artists from the Label: Artist ensemble.

The central message and purpose of the project is to show that even in the most difficult and tragic circumstances, beauty and meaning can be found. It seeks to reveal a universal truth about human dignity, strength, and sensitivity in the face of life’s crises. Although the story centres on a woman battling breast cancer, the performance touches upon experiences that resonate with every human being. The project is therefore intended for everyone, regardless of gender, age, or personal experience. It serves as a reminder that even in the face of suffering and serious illness, we can create things that are extraordinary and inspiring. And that, amid the fiercest storms of life, what is most precious within us — our dignity, sensitivity, and will to fight — does not die.
